Will trade for Wyred 4 Sound preamp I replaced a Bluenote Stibbert Mk II with the 168, which was half the price. Given care to isolation devices, power cords, and interconnects, it bettered the Stibbert in every way. The variable outs are so good, I sold a $3000 preamp. I have only used the XLR outs, so the RCAs need full break-in. A sales rep of high end capicitors (used in the Audio Aero CD players) heard it in my system. He was amazed how fantastic the stock player sounds, and has ideas to cap it up. Keep this in mind for a future upgrade, though frankly, it sounds fabulous stock. Well, I am using cryoed NOS Russian 6922s (not included). Sold with original tubes that have zero hours Reason for selling: I upgraded to the Raysonic CD 228, exact same player with substantial outboard power supply. See link to 6moons fabulous review. GREAT pictures, too. Here's another (Bare in mind Phil only used RCA outs! Balanced IS better!) -http://www.raysonicaudio.com/upload_files/review/20//20_1223996663.72.pdf "its use of a class-A, triode vacuum-tube output stage, ceramic sockets. A built-in warm-up function is said to increase the tubes’ life span.">"a component that’s detailed while remaining musical tends to carry with it a
greater sense of realism. This is the category into which the Raysonic CD168 falls." Buy with total confidence! See my feedback here and on AGon.
